VAPRO is delighted to have set up a cooperation with Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat (Educational Department of West Java) for improving vocational education in the field of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Ir. J.P.J.(Sjaak) Mens of VAPRO and Prof. Dr. H. Moh Wahyudin Zarkasy, CPA as the head of Dinas Pendidikan Jawa Barat have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated on November 25, 2011 in Bandung, and the implementation for this cooperation has started from this February 2012.
VAPRO and Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat together will set up training program in the field of HSE for teachers of the vocational schools in the region of West Java. SMKN 7 Bandung who has executed the similar training program with VAPRO will be the training center in the region of West Java. VAPRO implemented 3 years ago at SMKN 7 Bandung a practical Safety Laboratory, which will be used in the training. The training program is meant for the teachers and staff from vocational schools (SMK) to improve their competences in the field of HSE. The training will be executed by International certified VAPRO trainers.
The participants who pass this training program will receive an International Recognition as International Certified VAPRO HSE Trainer. Thereafter, the teachers can implement the HSE training program in their own school (SMK) for the students, and afterward the students of the SMK can receive International Certificate of HSE, which is really an advantage when they start working in an international chemical company.
